These rules help keep the Hunt fair, fun, and safe for everyone. Please read them carefully and follow them throughout the event.
Safety & Conduct
- To go off-campus, you must travel in groups of at least three people. On-campus locations are marked on this map.
- Motorized and electric vehicles (including cars, e-bikes, scooters, and hoverboards) are not allowed during the Hunt.
- If you’re biking, you must wear a helmet at all times. Bikes must also have lights if you’re riding after dark.
- Please treat other teams and volunteers with respect. Don’t push, grab, chase, or follow anyone.
- Avoid all active construction sites, whether on or off campus.
- Drugs and alcohol are not allowed at any point during the Hunt, on or off campus. This applies to all participants, regardless of age.
Gameplay & Boundaries
- You’ll never be sent to a graveyard as part of a clue or crawl list. If you think a clue leads to one, you’ve likely misinterpreted the prompt.
- Classrooms that haven’t been assigned to your team are off-limits. Please don’t claim or set up camp in any unapproved campus spaces. NUPD will ask you to leave.
- Make sure your team name is clearly written and visible on your shirt. This helps Hunt committee members identify and assist your team if needed.
Points & Participation
- To earn points for Clue or Crawl list photos, every photo must include:
- Three team members
- Team shirts are visibly shown (jackets must be unzipped)
- All team members are doing the official yearly Husky Hunt pose
- If any team member needs to leave the Hunt for an extended period (or arrives late or leaves early), they must fill out the early check-out form.
Please remember that breaking these rules may result in a point deduction or removal from the hunt. They’re in place to keep the Hunt safe, fair, and enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for playing responsibly!
