What is Husky Hunt?
Husky Hunt is the Resident Student Association’s annual scavenger hunt hosted in the Fall! The Hunt takes place over 24 hours with clues and challenges all over the Boston campus and the Boston area. Teams that register must complete a qualifying quiz and the top 50 placing teams will participate in the Hunt.
Who can participate in Husky Hunt?
Current undergraduate students may participate. Graduate students, including students in their PlusOne year, may only participate if they live on campus.
Is there a cost to participate in Husky Hunt?
As the Hunt is funded by the Resident Activity Fee, there is no cost to participate for undergraduate students.
When is Husky Hunt 2025?

What do I get for participating?
The top placing teams will receive prizes after the Hunt has concluded. In the past, these have included AirPods, concert tickets, gift cards, etc. Additional smaller prizes may be awarded throughout the Hunt. Each participant gets a Husky Hunt shirt to wear throughout the Hunt. All teams receive an unforgettable experience and a new way to experience Boston and its surrounding areas.

What if I do not have a team of 12?
Although we require a team of 12, we want as many people to be able to participate as possible. You can use our team-matching form to find a group to participate in the hunt with!
What if I cannot participate for a few hours during the Hunt?
Please email huskyhunt@northeastern.edu with your circumstances and how many hours you will miss. You may not be able to participate, and your team would need to find a replacement member with more availability if you would miss too much time throughout the hunt. This is to ensure that your team is not at a disadvantage due to your absence. This is decided on a case-by-case basis and is required by University policy. We strongly encourage teams to have all 12 members available throughout the Hunt. Teams with less than 12 members are at a significant disadvantage.
May I swap out a team member?
Please use our member swap form to swap out team members. We cannot guarantee your new team member will get a shirt in their preferred size if they are swapped out following the quiz. Teams must be made up of 12 students and the rules for who can participate still apply.

What is the Husky Hunt Quiz?
Due to the high demonstrated interest and limited space in the Hunt, a qualifying quiz is hosted to determine the 50 teams that will participate in the Hunt.
What kind of questions are asked on the qualifying quiz?
The questions are logic-based, but they can take many forms. Puzzles from prior years will be emailed to team captains to see the kind of questions that may be asked.

What happens during Husky Hunt?
Following clue lists to locations all over Boston. Competing in challenges on and off campus. Challenges can be physical, mental, technical, etc. so there is something for everybody! Creating crafts and social media posts to engage in the Hunt while taking a break from the hustle.
How should my team prepare for the Hunt?
Your team captain must attend the captain’s meeting before the Hunt. Make sure your entire team is aware of the rules of the Hunt and knows what to expect. Get lots of sleep the night before and the day of. Make sure your team has plenty of food, water, and crafting materials. We encourage using recycling cans, bottles, paper, cardboard, etc. whenever possible to make your crafts!
What happens if a team member cannot participate until after the Hunt has already begun?

What happens if a team member has to leave before the Hunt ends?
Please fill out the early check-out form.
When will teams get their t-shirts?
Team captains will be notified once team shirts are ready for pick-up. Any shirts not picked up early will be available during check-in on the day of the Hunt. Feel free to decorate your shirts with your team name and any other appropriate designs!
